We make the process simple and transparent:

• Drives can stay inside your computer — our team inspects every unit, removes the drives, and destroys them following NIST standards.
• Two-step destruction process:
- First, we crush each hard drive using a 20-ton press, physically damaging the internal platter beyond recovery.
- Then, we send the crushed drives to our R2v3 Certified downstream partner in Dallas, where they are shredded for metal recovery.
• We never reuse customer hard drives in any refurbished equipment—your data is never at risk.

For customers who want peace of mind, we now offer the option to watch your hard drive be crushed in person. Simply schedule an appointment ahead of time.

Certified Destruction Documentation

We provide a Certificate of Destruction and Recycling (COD) upon request. This certificate details:
• The sanitation and destruction process
• The equipment is recycled
• Serial numbers (if provided in advance)
Audit-ready certificates with serial number tracking are available for $2 per item. For drop-offs, please email your request and list of items at least one day in advance so we can prepare your certificate before your visit.

• $50 setup fee
• $6–$8 per drive (based on quantity)

We accept hard drives in any condition, even if you've already destroyed them yourself. Or, we can remove and destroy the drives in front of you, right at our office.
